Queenstown to Dunedin Airport

NZ's online relocation service that offers free use of rental cars and campervans

About the journey

The relatively short 175 mile trip from Queenstown to Dunedin takes around three and a half hours to complete. This route gives travellers the opportunity to see the Kawarau River and the great Karawau Gorge through which it flows, and to drive through the famous vineyards of Cromwell and Bannockburn. Those with an interest in history will have the chance to see some of the many small settlements which are scattered along the route. These historic towns and villages formed at the height of the Otago gold rush of the nineteenth century. The scenic Clutha River, meanwhile is a popular spot for trout and salmon fishing.
